Transfer to UMaine - Application Information
Applications are accepted for both spring and fall semesters and are reviewed on a rolling basis.
We encourage you to use the University of Maine System electronic application or the Common App. However we will gladly accept a hard copy of the University of Maine System application (PDF) the Transfer Common App (PDF) and the Transfer Common App Supplement (PDF). If you are unable to read PDF files, please call 1-877-486-2364 and an application will be mailed to you.
If original application was submitted within the last two years, you need only complete the reactivation form. Click here to download a PDF version of the reactivation form.
Required Application Materials
- Completed application or completed reactivation form
- $40 fee
- Essay
- Official transcripts from each individual institution attended whether or not credit was earned
- Official final high school transcript or GED (This requirement may be waived based on a written request for students with 60 or more transferable credits)
- SAT or ACT (are not required if the student is 20 years old or older or if the student has graduated from high school and has 12 or more college-level credits)
- Advantage U applicants please meet with your community college transfer advisor or refer to Advantage U for specific application requirements.
