Orientation Schedule: Students
Welcome to 2023 New Student Orientation! We are so excited to welcome you to campus. You day will begin at the Collins Center for the Arts (CCA)! Please arrive between 8 AM and 10 AM to check in and visit the Information Fair! If you have additional time between checking in and browsing the fair, feel free to join a Campus Tour!
Now that you have checked in, it’s time to head over to the Information Fair!

Hearty Maine Hello! We’ll kick off Orientation with our Opening Session. Get ready to learn what UMaine is all about!
Location: Hutchins Concert Hall, CCA
During this time your college will give a brief presentation and students will meet with academic advisors who will be available to review your academic schedule and help you with any of your questions!
Location: Various places around campus
Grab some food and meet other new students while enjoying a warm sunny Maine day playing games on the Mall!
This session covers all aspects of living on campus, including residential life, campus events, student wellness, and student clubs and organizations.

Interested in hearing more about a specific topic? Drop into one of our information sessions! These sessions are meant for you to be able to ask any and all of your questions or learn more about what UMaine has to offer!
*Sessions will be hosted by Admissions, Academic Colleges, Athletics, Student Life and Student Services, University Credit Union, Study Abroad, Maine Bound, Campus Recreation/Club Sports, Diversity and Inclusion, University Police, and the Career Center.

Meet us in the Memorial Union to wrap up and celebrate your very first day as a UMaine Black Bear. While in the Union, be sure to ask any remaining questions and find an on or off-campus job for the fall!
