Thank you for participating in our October 7 Transfer Fair. If someone else will be attending in your place, please share the info/link below with them. (Please scroll down.)
This is my first time holding a Zoom event of this magnitude (33 breakout rooms), so I humbly ask for your patience (and forgiveness!) with any unanticipated glitches, technical or otherwise. (Despite an earlier trial run, Zoom webinars and picking the brains of wonderful colleagues!)
A few requests:
* Please do not have private conversations with students, as other students may join your breakout room at any time during the two-hour event. Exchanging contact information for a follow up private conversation is recommended.
* It’s appreciated if you identify your breakout room with your college insignia (mug, banner, etc.) visible to students – it’s good branding!
* Our students have sparsely attended extracurricular Zoom events, instead focusing on academics and the new way of learning. While the transfer fair has been promoted, it would not surprise me if it’s lightly attended. My apologies in advance if you do not see much traffic.
After a dozen years of hosting transfer fairs, welcoming colleges to our campus and providing lunch, I truly miss you! Please accept my thanks in joining us virtually on October 7.
