Net Price Calculator

When we ask undergraduates why they chose the University of Maine, many of them have the same answer: value. And they’re not just talking about dollar value. They’re talking about the value of the entire UMaine experience — world-class research and academics, vibrant campus life and the opportunities that Maine’s most comprehensive university affords.

This calculator will give you an idea of the cost of a University of Maine education. You’ll be asked to enter certain information, which will help us calculate your tuition, fees and — if applicable — room and board. The calculator assesses those variables to estimate your financial aid, including scholarships and student loans. When you compare your UMaine results with those from other universities, please note that we do not include parent loans in our calculations, as some institutions do.  And we do not include athletic, special talent, or college-specific awards that may be available to you in addition to the university merit awards included in the Net Price Calculator.  If you have specific questions, please contact the UMaine admissions office or the UMaine financial aid office.

For priority consideration you should file your FAFSA by March 1. Financial aid is available if you miss the deadline, but may be limited.  Only first-year, first-time fall applicants submitting a complete application by the early action deadline (December 1) are guaranteed a merit award – those that complete their applications after December 1 will only be awarded a merit award if funds are available after the early action candidates have been awarded.

The cost calculator is only for first-time, first-year students starting in the fall semester.
